Ross has been racing motorcycles since he was 6 years old. He started in the Scottish Minimoto championship on scaled down versions of big bikes. In his first ever race he came 3rd overall despite only being on the bike once before, and at the end of his first season in 2012 he finished as the ‘Polini’ cup champion and 4th overall in the Scottish Championship.

Over the next 4 years Ross won four Scottish Championships and twice he has been awarded the prestigious Craig Jones memorial cup as the rider of the year and in 2017 in his final year racing the smaller bikes he won the British Pro Minimoto championship.

Ross turned 12 in 2017 so he gained his SACU race licence and raced in three Scottish 125cc race events. In his first race weekend on the ‘big’ bikes Ross was able to get on the podium with a 3rd and then 2nd place finish. In the last 2 events he did in 2017 he won 6 of the 8 races with a 2nd and 3rd in the other 2 races.

In 2018 Ross raced the Aprilia 125’s full time, he showed good form from the start winning every race at the first two rounds of the year. By the end of the season Ross had won 29 of 35 races and had set a new lap record at Knockhill racing circuit.

He was also one of 65 riders invited to try out for the 2019 British talent cup at the selection event at Silverstone in August. Ross managed to impress the judging panel and at the end of the day was selected as a rider for the British talent cup this year riding in Britain and Europe.

In 2019 as well as the British Talent Cup Ross will also compete in the British Superbike Championship onboard a Honda Moto 3 machine.
